On September 20, millions of us will walk out of our workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels.

We need more people to show up on this historic day. If we get HSBC employees to join the climate strikes and disrupt business as usual, it will show the bank’s decision makers that there’s clamor among their workforce for strong climate action.

Share this video and let’s get HSBC employees walk out of their workspaces to support the youth’s demands for bold climate action.

HSBC claims to support the goals of the Paris Agreement, yet it threatens our very future by funding the expansion of coal-burning power plants in Asia.

These investments in coal will lock Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Vietnam into dirty, dangerous, and expensive fossil fuel infrastructure that is outdated and will be useless within a few years. Local communities will bear the brunt of this obsolete technology.

There’s a string of proposed renewable energy projects in all three countries that remain under-funded – HSBC should start putting their money where their mouth is.

Let’s call on HSBC employees to join the climate strikes in September! It will be a clear signal for HSBC that they need to fix their coal policy, stop financing fossil fuels, and get the renewable energy transition going!
